Quercus Technical Services is a private limited company under Certeq (Ltd.), under the General Manager and President Paul Koop. The company was founded in 1990 as a Sole Proprietorship with its primary activity being the inspection of electrical installations.
The first trainings, mainly concerning high voltage, started in 1993 in collaboration with master’s degree engineer Sven Olaf Niels, who up to that point was associated with the HTS of the Hague. In that same year, the first practical training laboratory was set up.
Initially there was a collaboration with Siemens Netherlands, but after September 1st 2001, Quercus decided to move forward as an independent company.
Aside from the existing office building in Berkel en Rodenrijs, Quercus moved into its own building in Zwolle in 2008 in which, aside from the training facilities, the general administration is also housed.
In 2013 Quercus opened new practicals in Den Helder, IJmuiden, Delfzijl and Vlissingen. For the strong regional marine, maritime and offshore cluster, it is of vital importance that this education program is now available in the region of North Holland.
Quercus international is situated in Abu Dhabi since 2014. Quercus collaborates with The Al Nahiya Group, which was founded in 1981 in Abu Dhabi and is owned by His Highness Sheikh Tahnoon Saeed Shakhbooth Al Nehayan. Together they make global training possible.
